What is outbound marketing?

Outbound marketing, i.e. Outbound marketing is one of the traditional forms of marketing where a company initiates contact with potential customers. In other words - the company addresses the recipient, directly encouraging him to take advantage of its offer. Often through the actions he performs on behalf of the brand public relations agency.

How to implement outbound marketing?

Outbound marketing tools advertise products and encourage customers to buy. The most popular are undoubtedly all ATL (Above the Line) channels in traditional media. I am talking mainly about TV, radio, outdoor and press advertisements. ATL marketing they are used by both large corporations and companies operating locally. Their biggest advantage is the wide range.

Outbound also includes all forms of direct contact, i.e. meetings with sales representatives, telephone contact (the so-called cold calling), SMS messages and mailing. 

Outbound marketing on the Internet is - apart from the aforementioned e-mail - advertisements in the form of sponsored links, pop-up pop-ups with advertising messages, online chats and web push notifications. 

As part of this form of marketing, you can also use catalogs, advertising leaflets, folders and other classic promotional materials.

Advertising messages are flooding today's consumer. Many people automatically filter ads - they switch the program when an ad block starts, or immediately delete messages containing uninteresting messages. On the other hand, outbound messages are specific, direct, and targeted on a large scale, and therefore they can be an effective sales tool. In order to bring the expected results, they must match the expectations and the way of being a modern recipient. A brand that wants to conduct effective outbound activities should:

  • choose honestly communication channels marketing,
  • personalize advertising messages as much as possible,
  • put on advice and support in advertising.
