Warto wiedzieć
B2B marketing targets companies, not consumers. The decision is made by several people and each of them looks at something different: the director at the result, procurement at the terms, the technical team at feasibility. So B2B marketing is about giving each of these people the proof they need to say yes in front of the others.
In three ways: the number of decision makers (one person in B2C, three to ten in B2B), the time a decision takes (minutes versus months) and the role of proof. Emotion opens the conversation, but the signature goes under data, a reference and a description of a deployment at someone comparable.
The ones where your decision maker is already looking: visibility in search engines and in answers given by AI models, publications in the trade media that industry reads, LinkedIn, expert content on your own site, events and talks, and email to your own list. The choice follows from where your decision maker actually spends time, not from a ranking of popular channels.
It shortens the way to a conversation and strengthens the salesperson at the table. We measure four things separately: what was done, how it was received, what changed in behaviour (enquiries, meetings) and what effect it had on the business (proposals, contracts). Mixing these levels is what makes marketing look expensive - it shows activity where the board expects results.
When you do not know where the enquiry that ends in a contract comes from; when every department describes the company differently; when the cost of an enquiry grows while the number of meetings does not; or when you are entering a new market or launching a new service. The order is always the same: diagnosis, research, plan.
